Hi Friends,

Wow, it’s been a little while since I have written and boy, oh boy, do I have a bunch of great stuff to tell you about…  Where to start???

We have been nominated for the Best of Western Washington Arts & Crafts.  Currently we are in 3rd or 4th place in a category that includes a huge variety of Arts & Crafts stores.  Let’s show this state that YOUR Scrapbook Store is the Best in Western Washington!!!  But we need you to vote.  Every vote counts!  Click on this link to go to King 5 Evening Magazine’s voting page

We have a couple new ladies helping us out at the store these days, Andrea and Laurie.  You may have already gotten to meet them, or know them from Lasting Memories, where they both worked for quite a while.  These ladies are a great addition to our team and I am really excited to have them on board.  Laurie will be working on Sundays now so that Scrappy can go back to enjoying his weekends and dreaming up new ideas for Scrappy’s Neighborhood Designs.  Kim will still be doing a bunch of the designs that you have come to love (and rely on for ideas) over the past few years, but you will also start seeing some great projects and layouts from Laurie and Andrea too!  More ideas= more fun!

If you came in last Saturday, you may have noticed there was a little craziness going on in the store.  Andrea and Kim went on a store re-organizing rampage (and my main job was just to keep my trap shut and let them do what they do <grin>).  The store looks amazing and there is so much more room in here for all the great new product that is showing up.  Come check out the new store layout!

New Product (Love the new product!!!)
Graphic 45
The 2 new lines from Graphic 45 have been our hottest sellers to date.  The first line is a vintage Alice in Wonderland with a touch of halloween thrown in.  At our CHA preview party, this was THE MOST REQUESTED LINE.  The second line is a Steampunk inspired line with beautiful, breath-taking images and colors.  Very different and very compelling.  We also got in some of the Graphic 45 staples, including flowers, buttons, and stickers.  If you pre-ordered your paper pads for either of these lines, I’ve got them in for you.  We were out of the Graphic 45 paper pads for a few days, but they are all back in stock now so come get yours before they are gone.  And you have to check out our adorable display right up front with a vintage typewriter and cameras.  Love it!!!

Halloween Lines
I know a bunch of you are just CRAZY FOR HALLOWEEN!!!  We’ve got a bunch of lines already in and a couple more on their way.
  • My Mind’s Eye – Haunted – Wow, oh wow.  This is a really unique halloween line that you have to see in person to get the full wow factor.  It’s all kraft paper and black flocking.  It definitely covers the spooky side of halloween and the glazed brads that go with this line are kraft colored too!
  • My Mind’s Eye – Blackbird – this covers the fun, whimsy side of halloween.  With some traditional designs as well, the focus of this line are the super cute drawn characters and elements.  There’s even a paper for your trick-or-treat adventures
  • Graphic 45 – Halloween in Wonderland
  • Best Creations – Very Glittery Halloween!  Best Creations always has your glitter paper needs covered and these papers for halloween are no exception.  You have to see the Eyeball paper and the little ghost and goblins paper…  so cute!  Ok, well, the eyeball paper is as cute as eyeball paper can be…
  • Echo Park – This was the first of the halloween lines to come in so you may have seen it at the CHA preview party.  It’s got great bold colors and patterns.  There are 2 sticker sheets that come with this line, the elements (which has the cutest set of witch legs!) and the letter stickers.  The letter stickers from Echo Park are always such a great deal because you actually get 4 alphabets for the price of 1!
  • PineCone Press – coming this week (maybe even today).  Rich purples and adorable little dress-up kid characters will make this line a must for your halloween costume fun.  Also, we will be having an interactive mini-book class featuring this line in a few weeks.  See below for details…
  • Doodlebug - The full line of Doodlebug halloween will be shipping mid-September.  It’s super Doodlebuggy (wait, is that a word? well, you Doodlebug fans know what I mean).  I’ve got the whole line coming so keep on the look out for that one…

My Mind’s Eye
I ordered in ALL the new lines of My Mind’s Eye this time.  And let me tell you, I am loving this release from these guys!  And, with the exception of Lost and Found, all lines offer collection packs too.
  • LOST & FOUND – This is a MUST SEE!  This line has a beautiful vintage look, with great touches of glitter.  This line has been going fast!  They’ve changed up their embellishments a little for this line too.  We’ve got an amazing set of mixed media brads, mini-book covers, great matching trims, stamps, buttons, and more.
  • Alphabet Soup – we have needed a good new toddler/young child line and this one is it!  Alphabet soup actually comes in two color schemes, one for boy and one for girl.  The colors are great in these lines and actually, most of the prints aren’t actually specific to only young children so this can be used for all sorts of options.  I did a sample in the recent Fast & Fabulous class that I’ll be titling Birthday Fun.
  • Holly Jolly – great vintage traditional Christmas line with a jolly santa, reindeer and candy canes
  • I Believe – a little whimsical reindeer, and a touch of glitter make this a fun red & green Christmas line with a touch of powder blue…
  • So Sophie – Great rich colors in eggplant, teal & salmon…Lots of little accessories to go with this line too!

Tim Holtz Goodness
The Tim Holtz goodness is starting to arrive.  We’ve got the full line of Distress Inks (which I absolutely LOVE, by the way) and re-inkers, Earthtone alcohol inks, and the full line of Distress Stickles (the newest colors will be arriving shortly).  We’ve gotten some great tools in to make all these products even more fun.  Tim’s new line, Seasons, should be shipping this month some time.  Make sure to get on the pre-order list if there is anything special you want…

Also, pre-orders for the VAGABOND machine are being taken.  The MSRP is $250 on these machines.  $100 down-payment is needed for your reservation.  Currently we have 9 machines shipping in mid-October, and most of them are reserved.  We still have time to increase our order, but please don’t wait too long…

Radiant Rain & Twinkling H2Os
The full line of Radiant Rain Shimmering Mists are in.  These are SOOOO fun.  This is a product very similar to Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, but shimmerier (I think I am totally in a mood to make up words today!).  Come check out the sample board to see all the colors.
Twinkling H2Os are shimmering watercolors.  They use the same shimmer colors as the Radiant Rain, but because they are a watercolor, you really have the opportunity to control the color intensity.  Classes will be coming soon for these products…

Flower Soft
The full line of Flower Soft colors are in stock.  Flower Soft is a really unique product that is best described by seeing it.  This product actually allows you to be able to make realistic looking, dimentional flower arrangements.  We will be having class this Thursday evening at 5:30 (see below).  Samples are at the front counter.  You have to see it, I promise.

Petaloo
Lot of great new flowers from Petaloo.  We’ve gotten some really beautiful new color sets and value packs.  Also a very popular line from them is called Color Me Crazy.  These are white flowers (and other embellishments) and they work wonderful with all the new Distress Inks and the Radient Rain.  You can make them any color you want.  How fun is that???

Twilight Papers
Scrappy has been to Forks and, of course, now has some new Forks papers.  They are with the Breathless line from Creative Imaginations

Best Creations
The Foam Squares are back!  We love these foam squares because they stick great and are a great price.  Come in and stock up!  Also, you have to see the new Bella line and best of all is the Winter Line from Best Creations.  The mitten and icicle paper is so cute it helps soften the blow that this summer is almost gone (and only sorta showed up anyway…)

Quick Quotes Family Canvas Project
This is a Black & White, All inclusive canvas for your wall or to give as a present.  The Canvas measures 16″x12″x1 and is really striking when completed.  Come see the sample on the wall by the cash register…  This kit is the first from the Quick Quotes Kit of the Month Club.  We will be getting a new kit from them every month, some will be scrapbooking and some will be home decor.  This is available as a kit if you are not able to make it to class.  Registration is required by Sept 15, so that I can get in our totals in order for the kits to ship on time…

Ok, it really is time for me to call it a day.  I’ve been writing this newsletter on and off since 9am and it seems I just have way too much to say.  Check out the blog in a little bit for some pictures of the new products.  Have a wonderful evening and I’ll see you soon!
