Happy Day before Valentine’s Day!  I can’t believe we’re halfway through February already!  It’s been two weeks since I returned from CHA and the goodies are already rolling in!  I’m going to try to be brief in this newsletter, but it always seems I have so much to tell you about!  LOL! Ranger Technique Tag Class #1 Tonight at 5:30!  This class was originally scheduled during the snowstorm and was moved to Feb 13th.  We have a couple spots left if you’d like to join class.  We’ll be learning all about Perfect Pearls as well some other fun projects.  Wondering about the Ranger Technique Tag Series?  It’s a series of 5 classes.  Each class makes 5 tags and by the end you’ve got a great technique manual and you’ve learned how to use all the great ranger products we have in the store.  This is an ongoing series and you can take the classes in any order…  And the best part is that the class is $20, and you get $15-$18 worth of product in EACH class…  You’ll love all you learn in this fun, low pressure class…  Call the store after 11am if you’d like to join us for the evening.

CHA PREVIEW NIGHT:

• October Afternoon Sasparilla is here – Sasparilla is cool vintage western and  is pure October Afternoon greatness… Most of the line is here, with a few of embellishments coming in shortly.  This line has been selling like hot cakes already, so you’ll want to come in soon.  Check it out here.
• HoneyPOP stamps – brand new line of collection of HoneyPOP stamps with a great new addition:  Rainbow HoneyPOP paper!!!  This paper is sooooo cool!  Wait until you see it.  And of course, there is a great new sample board that shows off all the cool stamps and the neat cloud template too!  
• Inky Antics – Also from Inky Antics (they make the HoneyPOP stamps), we got in a line of cat and dog stamps.  These stamps come with paws-itively adorable sentiments too.  Check out the sample board in the store to get some good ideas! 
• Crop Stop – Limited Edition Embossing Folders just came in.  Every month Crop Stop will send us different embossing folders and when they are gone, they are gone!  I won’t be able to order any more so you’ll definitely want to pick these up when you see them.
• American Crafts – Dear Lizzy Neopolitan has great soft colors and fun embellishments perfect for spring.  Some of papers have strawberries, ice cream cones and other fun patterns.  And there’s a really cool crepe paper ruffle paper that has soooo many options for creative uses.
• American Crafts POW paper – If you haven’t seen this glitter paper yet from American Crafts, you have to take a look at it!  It’s a totally different type of glitter paper and because of the way that it’s created, you can actually cut it with your electronic die cutting machines without the glitter dulling your blade and getting all over your sticky mat.  And they just released some beautiful new colors too!

Contest Kit – The contest kits are back on track!  This months kit will be available tomorrow and features the line Gathering from Authentique.  I love the oranges and teals in this line with big bold flowers…  You’ll want to hurry and get yours because I only made 10 this month.   Are you wondering “What is the contest kit?”  Every month there’s a new kit available with $15 worth of product for only $10.  You can create whatever you want with the kit and we’ll vote on the entries the following month.  The winner gets a store gift certificate and free kit for the following month.  I can’t wait to see what you come up with using this months kit!  

I’m back from CHA and boy, oh, boy was this a busy trip.  Thursday was a fun filled, all day class with Tim Holtz.  I learned some fun new techniques so look for those soon.  Saturday I drove to Prima’s headquarters in Chino to take 2 classes from Donna Downey.  I learned some cool stuff in these classes too, and most of all I got super messy!  So much fun!  And then it was 3.5 days of solid CHA convention goodness.  It was a really busy show with lots of planning, shopping and ordering!  We’ll be having a CHA preview night on Friday February 17th at 6pm.  Please RSVP if you think you’ll be coming as it helps me plan for prizes and chairs.

Ranger Technique Tag Series Class #1

January 15th 1:00-3:00 $20 

If you are new to Ranger Products and want to learn some really great techniques and even have product to take home to play with, this is the class series for you!  In this series of 5 classes, we will create a technique “manual” in which you will learn how to use all the different Ranger products that we carry.  Each class will feature techniques using different products.  The classes do not build on each other so you can take them in any order.  This has been an incredibly popular class and now it’s back!  And every student gets $15-$18 worth of product to take home with them from class so this class works out to only be a couple dollars.

In class #1 we will be focusing on Perfect Pearls, and also using glossy accents, crackle accents, and black and white enamel. 

Tim Holtz 12 Tags of Christmas #2 

January 19th 5:30-7:30 $20  

As promised!  We will be doing Tim’s Christmas Tags once a month as a class, instead of a self-led workshop.  We will be starting with tag #2, as Tag #1 is pretty involved…  Check it out here.  Many of you were interested in the 12 Tags series that we just finished up, but were unable to commit to once a week for 12 weeks, so this is your chance!  For this class, your tag kit and your lab fee are included in your class fee.  You will still need to provide certain embellishments (as they are either used on multiple tags, or I can not easily break the packs apart), but substantial price breaks will be offered.  Also, you will be able to pre-order products that we use in the class at substantial price breaks as well!  It’s a win-win situation!   Some familiarity with Tim’s techniques is necessary for this class.  If you have any of the Distress Inks, or stamps we will be using on this tag, please bring them to speed things up.  Label all your products and tools clearly!

Make a very cool 6 card set in a box with instruction book filled with this project and many others!  You’ll also get a plastic envelope template so you can design envelopes to perfectly match your 6×6 cards.  While we will most likely not get all cards finished in class, you will have the instructions and all the products to finish up at home.
